Meet Dr. Abby Slyman
Dr. Abby Slyman is originally from Huntsville, Alabama. She moved to Texas to attend Southern Methodist University where she double majored in applied mathematics and biology, and rode on the SMU equestrian team. Dr. Abby stayed in Dallas to continue her dental education and graduated from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry with honors.
After graduation, Dr. Abby moved to the Nashville area and is happy to be back in the South near her family. She practiced in Clarksville for years, and enjoyed giving back to our military community.
After meeting Dr. Boyter and Shannon, she knew the move to Stones River Dental was meant to be. Dr. Abby is honored to be following in Dr. Boyter’s footsteps and serving his patients.
Dr. Abby’s favorite part of dentistry is getting to meet and build lifelong relationships with her patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Nashville Dental Society, Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
In her spare time, Dr. Abby and her husband, Zane, enjoy wakesurfing, Alabama football, and horseback riding. Zane and Dr. Abby have a golden retriever, Chessy, who is their pride and joy! Chessy is a therapy dog in training - make sure to say hi when you’re at the office!
Dr. Abby is excited to be a part of Stones River Dental, and aims to go above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care.

Meet Dr. Stacy Caldwell
Dr. Stacy Caldwell, DMD, is a compassionate general dentist with five years of clinical experience dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University in 2020.
Dr. Caldwell is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care with an emphasis on education and a gentle approach. She believes that understanding treatment options helps patients feel more comfortable and empowered, and she strives to create a calm, supportive environment for every visit. Her passion for service extends beyond the office, including participation in a dental mission trip to Guatemala in 2019, where she provided care to underserved communities.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Caldwell enjoys hiking, exploring the Nashville food scene, and volunteering with Wags and Walks. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and takes pride in helping them feel confident in both their oral health and their smiles.
